Jon Bon Jovi hailed a ‘hero’ as he talks woman out of jumping off a bridge in Nashville

A Nashville woman was well and truly Livin’ On A Prayer when Jon Bon Jovi came to the rescue.
The 62-year-old rock legend, whose mom recently passed away, has been commended for convincing a woman to not jump off a bridge on Tuesday night.
Bon Jovi, who was filming a music video at the time, can be seen in police footage as an unidentified woman stands on the ledge of John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge, which spans the Cumberland River, in Nashville, Tennessee.

In the now-viral footage, Bon Jovi is seen slowly approaching the woman with a friend as the pair begin talking to her.
After a few minutes passed, the woman turned around to face the two and they helped her over the railing to safety.
Once back on the walkway, the Grammy award winner sweetly embraces the woman.
After successfully bringing the woman to safety, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department took to X, formerly Twitter, to thank Bon Jovi.
“A shout out to @jonbonjovi & his team for helping a woman on the Seigenthaler Ped Bridge Tuesday night.
“Bon Jovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety,” the post continued.

The singer’s JBJ Soul Foundation offers support to people struggling with homelessness and hunger, with the 62-year-old reported to have training in speaking to people in crisis.
Fans were also quick to shower Bon Jovi with messages as they praised him for the good deed.
“This moved me to tears. In a time of such division and hardship, I can truly feel the love in his actions,” one person wrote.
Another added: “Jon Bon Jovi greatest rock star in the world and now hero,” as a third penned: “Disturbing and sad seeing people just walk by..Jon is a great human being!”
